The cape dory owners association has a very active site and there is an active livaboard member with a 36 so. It’s no small journey though. I think with the cutter rig it would be suitable for single handling. They handle heavy weather nicely and heave to with the best. They do like to sail heeled more than a modern flat bottomed boat.
